Gawler Quilting Circle Inc. holding Exhibition with a Difference

This Exhibition has the title of Reduce, Re-use and Recycle and will run at the Gallery from Thursday 19th June until Sunday July 20th.
There will be many quilts and wallhangings using recycled fabrics and embellishments, as well as bags and jewellery, even baskets which will include "found" objects woven through them.

Two wonderful prizes for the Raffle which will be drawn on Sunday July 20th. One is five foot square quilt with an "oriental and dragon fly " look, and the other is a wall-hanging with a large vase of flowers. Both quilts are made from old fabrics and beads and buttons, and would be a lovely addition to your walls, as a throw or lap quilt. Tickets are just $1.00 and books are available at the gallery.
The official opening of the Exhibition will take place on Sunday 22nd June when Teresa Dolman from NAWMA will do the honours of attending and telling us about the work they do for us in the way of recycling in the northern area. Light Refreshments will be served.
Gallery is open Thursdays to Sundays 10am to 4p.m. and the volunteers would welcome visits during those hours.
