Coming Exhibitions

Grand Openings by Mr Tony Picollo M.P


The following Exhibitions will be opened by:

M.P. Mr Tony Picollo, on Sunday the 5th of July at 2pm, in 'The Gawler Community Gallery', at Twentythird street, Gawler South.

 As Time Goes By... a mosaic Journey.
By 7 local Mosaic Artists:  Julia Mannix, Sandra Sullivan, Pat Low, Lisa Wittholz, Sandra Zachopoulos, Trudy Pfeiffer and Lyn Ainslee. The wide range of mosaic work will be on show in the two upstairs rooms - 'The Overland' and 'The Gahn'.   Reflecting the personal journey of all those involved, these mosaics show the diversity of this stunning and decorative art form. 
This is an early SALA event - a must seefor anyone interested in mosaics!

'The Gawler Art Society'

GAWLER ART SOCIETY 
G.A.S. (Gawler Art Society) will present their annual Exhibition downstairs in the 'Tea and Sugar' Exhibition room. Many members will be exhibiting their work, which will include watercolour, pastel, oil, and acrylic, as well as some charcoal drawings. Among this group are some 'Award' winning artists. I am only sorry not to have more on this lovely group to share with you all.


AMITY  “Ten Years On”  
This group, as the name suggests is exhibiting for it's 10th year with us here at the Gawler Community Gallery. Always a popular exhibition by members-  Colleen Gates, Carol Clue, Dianne Vagg and Brian Windebank.

AMITY has previously been opened by such well known persons as: 'Mr Tony Picollo M.P', 'Mr John Ford, F.A.S.M.A, Marine Artist' from Port Adelaide, 'Mr Martin Lindsell, former Mayor for Playford' and Mr Gerhard Ritter, Portrait Artist.
 This is a well known group of friends who have been exhibiting their art for many years, at vrious venues around South Australia, their work covers a wide variety of subjects and media. 

I have heard that there will be some miniatures and a lot off animals this year, and I am sure we will also see Landscapes as well. Located downstairs in the 'Red Hen' exhibition room.
